Meet Gina Anton, MA
Therapist for Anxiety, Disordered Eating & Life Transitions in Massachusetts
Note: Gina is accepting new clients (14+) in MARCH for in-person therapy in Boston and virtual across Massachusetts.
Hi, I’m Gina.
You might be someone who shows up for others, strives to do everything “right,” and still feels disconnected from yourself. Maybe you’ve spent years people-pleasing, achieving, or adapting to what was expected of you — and now you’re not quite sure what you want or how to make decisions that feel aligned with who you are.
I work with older adolescents (14+) and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, disordered eating, body image concerns, identity development, grief, and major life transitions. Many of the clients I support struggle with self-doubt, conflict avoidance, and feeling untethered from their sense of self.
Anxiety often intensifies during periods of change — starting college, ending relationships, questioning identity, grieving a loss, or stepping into a new chapter of life. I hold space for grief in all its forms. Grief doesn’t only follow death; it can emerge through pet loss, estrangement from family, relationship endings, job loss, or shifts in identity and belonging. Together, we make room for the complexity of these experiences without rushing to “fix” them.
I’m especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients and offer an affirming, non-pathologizing space where identity exploration can unfold at your own pace. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to defend or explain who you are — you can simply be.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that no one is broken. Therapy with me isn’t about quick solutions. It’s about slowing down, getting curious about the different parts of you, and building a more caring, empowered relationship with yourself. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, attachment-focused and relational frameworks, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic practices to help you reconnect with your body, values, and inner wisdom.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and currently practice under supervision as I work toward independent licensure in Massachusetts.
Reaching out can feel like a big step. If you’re curious about working together, you’re welcome to schedule a free consultation so we can connect and talk through what support might look like.
