I’m an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna.
I can provide a superbill if you have out-of-network benefits. Here’s how you can find out:
Call the customer service phone number on your insurance card and select the benefits department
Ask the representative these questions:
Do I have out-of-network benefits? If you do not, the full out-of-network fee of $175 would apply.
If yes, do my benefits cover mental health services?
What dollar amount or percentage of each psychotherapy session is reimbursed?
Is there a limit to how many sessions per calendar year are covered in my plan?
How do I submit a request for reimbursement?
How long until I receive reimbursement?
-
My out-of-network rate for a 50-55 minute session is $175.

I see clients virtually throughout the state of Massachusetts. Due to licensing laws, clients need to be located in MA at the time of their appointment.
I offer in-person sessions at my office in Brookline, MA. Please specify in your outreach if you are looking for in-person therapy.

I see clients Monday - Thursday from 9AM to 4PM and Friday 9AM - 1PM. I do not offer weekend or evening appointments.

More than 48 hours’ notice: No fee

We will complete an intake that covers your mental health history, family history, current stressors, support system, and goals for therapy. You only share what you feel comfortable sharing.

It varies greatly depending on your goals, engagement in therapy and availability. I recommend giving therapy at least 3-6 months to see progress, and I also have many clients I’ve been seeing for years. Some people approach therapy like an as-needed space for crisis support and others consider it an ongoing outlet for all of life’s ups & downs.

Due to the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers must provide clients without insurance or those not using insurance with an estimate of anticipated charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the cost of psychotherapy before scheduling a service.
If you receive a bill surpassing the Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill. Remember to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
